Install the Outlook add-in
Add the Report Phish button to Outlook by importing the manifest file.
The Outlook add-in gives every user a one-click Report Phish button inside their mailbox. It is a custom add-in, so it will not appear if you search the Outlook add-in store. You install it by importing a small manifest file (an .xml file) that you download from your dashboard.
If you search the Outlook store for "PhishAlertPro" you will see "No results found". That is expected. It is a custom add-in, so it is added from the manifest file, not the store.
Step 1: Download the manifest
In PhishAlertPro, open Settings > Integrations and download the Outlook manifest. The file is named PhishAlertPro-Outlook-Manifest.xml.
Step 2: Add it to Outlook
- 1In Outlook on the web or desktop, click the three dots (...) menu in the toolbar, then choose Get Add-ins.
- 2Click "My add-ins" in the left sidebar.
- 3Scroll down to "Custom add-ins" and click "Add a custom add-in", then "Add from file".
- 4Select the PhishAlertPro-Outlook-Manifest.xml file you downloaded, then click OK.
- 5Accept the permissions prompt. The Report Phish button now appears in your toolbar.
To roll the add-in out to everyone at once instead of per person, see Deploy add-ins across your organisation.
